This project comprises a two storey extension to incorporate an enlarged kitchen and new master bedroom at first floor and a new single storey structure forming a new dining area which replaces an existing conservatory.The design approach we adopted was to handle the two storey element to match the appearance of the existing property, whilst the single storey structure is designed to stand in contrast to the existing building. In this way we have ensured that what is quite an extensive enlargement of the house blends in with the original mass of the building.

A section of full height glazing serving the new dining room allows views up towards a sloping tree lined garden, whilst the over sailing roof affords solar shading.
