A propsal for 3 four bedroom contemporary homes has been submitted to Bath and North East Somerset Council for detailed Planning Approval. The propsed dwellings are designed to step down the steeply sloping site, with the single storey elements having sedum roofs minimising the scale of the proposal when viewed from the adjacent Green Belt and AONB.
The simplistic contemporary form of the proposals is intended to sit 'quitely' in the landscape whilst the pallete of oak and nutral rubble stone walling materials is intended to echo the rubble field walls that cris-cross the lansdown plateau.
The landscape design has been undertaken in conjunction with Emma Banister (Landscape Architect) to further develop the theme of intergrating the new buildings with the landscape. They ahve also been designed to subtly provide designation of the plot boundaries is a less urban manner.
